How do we be our kind, caring and sensitive selves while staying in our power and not taking on others stuff as our own?
1. Understand why you do what you do
Being a kinesiologist, I have a deep motivation to serve and support myself and others to feel amazing and live life to the fullest.
I believe many of you reading this have a core motivation to help that is pure but sometimes our pure motivation can be clouded with wanting to fix, please, be responsible for others etc. This is where it gets tricky because you now have an expectation.
Ask yourself if you're helping without expectation or if you're needing/wanting something in return either to have the helping or fixing reciprocated, to feel loved, be acknowledged, validated, valued, accepted, to be looked after, to feel safe etc.
It's a path of anxiety trying to get anything from anyone in a sustainable way unless you're first giving it to yourself. Thats the old saying "fill your cup first"
2. What's there to fix?
Here's the thing with being self aware and always being committed to your own learning and growth... Everyone is on a different path and yes we see the potential in them but its not our job to change them, it's their choice.
Recently I had a four hour hypnotherapy session where I went in between lives and connected with myself a soul. My belief is that we choose our lives before we come based on what we need to learn and we are all on a unique path.
Supporting and fixing are very different! I see it as power vs force or peace vs drama. This is a great little clip to explain the drama cycle and how to step out of it
If someone asks for your help then its your choice if it feels right to help them.
If you decide someone has a problem that needs fixing and take it upon yourself to change them then you're getting into difficult waters. This attitude is putting out the message that something is wrong with the person and they aren't enough as they are, are not capable in some way and their resistance to change may boost from this disempowering energy.
3. Know how you feel so you know when your energy is yours and when its not
So many of my clients get confused with how they actually feel because they are so used to feeling everyone else feelings as a way to understand their environment and the people in it.
A question I ask myself when i'm feeling different to how I usually feel is "is this mine?" and often it won't be if you're energy has changed going into a new situation.
To know the answer, you need to connect with your own sense of what is yes and what is no. I feel this as sensations in my body, others get the word in their mind, or a feeling of expansion or contraction.
To know whats yours and what not its important to know how you feel as a baseline in your day. You may be feeling wonderful after a morning walk and as soon as you get to work you may feel your energy plummet.
This is an indication that you're being affected by your environment. You have some options here...
If the energy you're feeling is not yours then you can acknowledge this and thank your body for letting you know, this acknowledgment may be enough to shift the energy, if not you can visualise the energy leaving your field and you being fortified with your own energy, this may look like a field of colour, light or symbol.
If the energy is yours then there is something deeper happening which needs your attention for example you may be out of alignment with your work but pretending that it's what you need for now. This is a good time to go see your kinesiologist to delve deeper!
4. Create and maintain your boundaries to prevent yourself from giving away your power and fall into old patterns
Many of us have been brought up to feel our wants and needs aren't as important as others and therefore disregard our own needs to meet what others expect.
The truth is we are all entitled to live our lives on our terms and go for what we want! Cause if your not living your life for you then who are you living for? and why? why is it better to live for someone else?
To set your boundaries you must know what they are! Such as knowing how you want to be treated in your relationships and if someone treats you with disrespect, you can stand your ground.
Know what it takes for you to have healthy boundaries
Q. I can create healthy boundaries to support my (health/wellbeing/relationships/finances) by ____________________________________________.
Q. If I had these boundaries in place, how would my life be different? ____________________________________.
Q. If I had these boundaries in place how differently would I feel? ________________________________________.
The hard part about setting boundaries is respecting them by committing to them!
For example you may set a boundary to not call your ex partner because its in your best interest and you know your life will be more in alignment if you don't contact them. The challenge is keeping that commitment with yourself!
5. Know yourself so your energy is centred and grounded
When there is searching for validation outside ourselves there is a tendency to get caught up in whatever is going on, buying into others opinions as our own and being led by others.
Know what you love and be confident in expressing your love. If you're into crystals, yoga and meditation and you have a friend that thinks its all stupid, thats cool, let them think its stupid, they don't have to feel the same as you and you don't need to change your opinion to suit them.
The contrast of peoples interests and beliefs makes the world an interesting place to live!
Having a daily meditation practice can help support yourself on all levels to feel centered and grounded. Try starting the day with a quick five minutes breathing and feeling your body, noticing how you feel and what mood you're in before you step out into your day.
If you feel the need you can clear your energy field simply. When having a shower you can imagine all energy thats not yours (if any) washing way. If you're outside you can stand bare foot and visualise any energy thats not yours going into the ground and being filled from above by golden light.
Being sensitive is a strength, but to make the strength work for you its important to know yourself, know how you feel, know your boundaries and know why you do what you do!
The start of the year is a ripe time to clear physical, emotional and mental clutter, its all energy, it's all "stuckness"
It's time to clear out the old to bring in the new!
letting go, clearing and realigning is a holistic process. Everything is energy, all we are doing is clearing energy in different forms.
The old emotions, the old thought patterns, the bits and pieces of sentimental value you've held onto from past relationships that still trigger old emotional wounds

It took me a bit to get going this year and I don't think it was just me feeling this way. I didnt do my intention setting until recently and realised how important it is and how different I feel after taking the time to do it!
So I'm officially making today the 9th Jan the first day of my year! HAPPY NEW YEAR
I gave new year goal setting a boot a while ago. I found that I felt anxious, watching time pass and watching my goal attanment slip away from me.
I only set one "goal" for 2016 and I didnt do it and I don't even feel bad about it! (it was to doa yoga head stand, it looks cool).
2016 saw me setting intentions instead leading me to have the most fulfiling year of my life in many ways. Why? because goals are external and based on attachment, intentions are states of being and aligned with spirit so you just cant go wrong!

Yeah I may do a head stand one day but it has nothing to do with life purpose so i'm happy watching others do it and be super impressed!
Its my birthday week! Woo Hoo party time! I am deliberately honouring myself and loving it (hell yeah i’m special!). I’m having a massage, splurged on a fresh supply of my favourite skin care products and organised my own party so I get to hang out with all my favourite people (and get cake that I didn’t buy). I’ve reflected over the past year and given myself a big congratulations for having so much courage in creating my reality that I love. It feels SO GOOD!
So why we don’t honour ourselves everyday and allow ourselves to receive so much good stuff when we need it to stay happy and healthy?
Why do we feel more ok to receive on our birthday as if its our one chance a year to soak up the love without hesitation or feeling uncomfortable (maybe some people still get a bit squirmy when receiving, especially that dreaded happy birthday song and exposing our age!).
Here it goes…
Our willingness and ability to receive is directly related to our self worth
The good part is, if you are able to allow the good stuff to come to you on your birthday without questioning whether you deserve it or questioning why people are being so kind, then you are capable of allowing the goodness everyday which has the ability to transform your life!
The ability to receive is our ability to accept and allow, if we block our ability to receive we get into trouble because we cut off our ability to be nurtured which put us off balance.
The problem with receiving…
You are so selfish! Who! me? No I'm not!
We can easily identify receiving with being selfish, to avoid being selfish we allow ourselves to give give give and not receive in balance.
Nature is balance, when we block receiving we block the natural flow of the universe.
We got taught early on that giving is good (well done scratch and sniff sticker) and receiving is not as good (and if you did receive, you better be nice and return the favour! everyone likes a nice person)
Lurking underneath our cool and calm exterior may be these blocks that are stopping us from enjoying life to the fullest
Blocking our ability to receive has some pretty detrimental effects
Not only does this block reinforce our feeling of not being worthy, it may manifest in our physical body as
Energetically blocking nurturing puts a wall up and can prevent meaningful connection with ourselves and others
This year on my birthday and everyday I allow myself to bathe in the love and care for myself and from others. The wall is down and i’m energetically ready to receive! I haven’t always felt this way, I would say it’s the first year that i’ve been 100% willing to receive. Why? because I know my motivation for receiving is pure, it comes from knowing that i’m good enough and worthy of it, and without it I feel unwell and off balance so it is my duty to myself to allow.
In a kinesiology session we can further understand why you may not give and receive freely and openly and remove the blocks to help free you from lack of feeling nurtured. We are all special and are worthy of feeling internal comfort, we just may have got a bit lost along the way.
I promise you that you are worthy! The catch is that only you have the ability to honour yourself in everyday, it’s all up to you! but seriously how great is that! you get to do it for you and that means its 100% possible, you get to create a wonderful and meaningful life for you.

Because I followed my intuition
A while ago I made a commitment to listen to and follow my intuition, I believe this commitment is the biggest we can ever make, it’s like marrying ourselves! We’re going to be with ourselves this whole lifetime so we may as well fully accept and enjoy our own wisdom
Not so long ago I was feeling a bit stuck, I wasn't entirely happy or at peace even though on the surface it looked like the perfect life, great job, great house, great friends, great social life, but even with all this greatness going on I still felt off, something wasn’t right and only I had the answers to this uneasy feeling stirring inside me.
It's important to remember that your relationship with yourself is the most important one you will ever have and must be honoured above all
When you connect to your intuition, something magical happens, you get the answers you're seeking to move from feeling uneasy and stuck to feel like your moving forward in life
I believe there are a few main reasons why a lot of people don't follow their intuition
Sometimes the changes you need to make aren’t what you think you want and that feels crap for a while
If you don’t change anything you will keep feeling the way you've been feeling.
The changes you are guided to make may be hard, it may feel uncomfortable, challenging, you may lose sleep, you may lose relationships, you may hurt people’s feelings, it may bring up all your insecurities and old grief but your soul will never guide you to change anything you're not ready for or anything that isn’t for your highest good.
How to connect?
The more you distract yourself with the external world, the more you prolong the agony of not following your spirit
I have found the easiest way to connect and begin trusting yourself is by getting a yes/no sensation in your body, this helps you get used to your body wisdom and gets you to a point where you can meditate on questions and get a yes or no response for whats in your best interest.
Here’s how to get started on this journey
1. Listen to the body wisdom meditation, it may takes many listens to get an obvious yes and no response in your body. Sometimes you will get a strong yes sensation and a weaker sensation for no or vice versa. Trust it!
2. Once you have the felt sense of yes and no, you can connect in and ask yourself questions you want guidance on that will give a yes/no response
Start using yes/no simply, ask questions in your daily life such as “is this breakfast cereal going to nourish me”, “Should I have a coffee”, “Is it in my best interest to walk to work today” etc
Play with it! Your body will be so pleased once you go inward and start trusting, your life will better forever!
Ultimately you can ask yourself any question, it’s your spirit you're connecting to, so asking if a choice you are considering is for your highest good is perfect wording.
“Is (insert choice/question) in my best interest?”
“Is (insert choice/question) for my highest good?”
3. Don’t get discouraged if you go against your guidance, you're only human and sometimes you wont get the response you want e.g. “Is eating this gelato in my best interest?”
If you feel there is something in the way of you connecting, I would recommend having a kinesiology session to help you get clear with your guidance. I was introduced to this method by my kinesiologist some years ago and its been incredibly valuable in my life.

Sleep is so delicious, I feel like a different person when I get a good sleep, a much more grounded, kind and patient person! Because i've had my own difficulties with sleep I am passionate about helping people improve their ability to fully rest into a deep sleep and wake feeling refreshed.
Like any imbalance, sleep problems can be physical, mental, emotional, energetic in nature at the core. This is why kinesiology is SO POWERFUL, we address the core issue causing the imbalance on all levels and not the symptom/s, balancing the core issue then naturally alleviates symptoms.
For example, someone may have trouble sleeping because they overthink and can't relax, on the surface the problem seems simple, just improve the ability to relax and ta da the problem will go away!
The question is, what is preventing you from relaxing, what's driving this overthinking? The core issue fits into four categories:
Once we identify the core issue 'category' we can establish more context around the issue and bring in techniques to balance the issue.
I believe it's important that you leave your kinesiology session with awareness of the core issue and a resource or tool to maintain momentum of your kinesiology balance. I like to use essences, homeopathic remedies, essential oils, acupressure, affirmations, meditation, and focusing techniques to keep you balanced. I may also recommend different minerals or vitamins depending on what comes up from the session.

Can you be happy everyday? yes! but the secret is that its entirely up to you, you are the master of your own mind and life, no one else can do this for you! (not even your kinesiologist but I can help you get there) This is why I love kinesiology so much is that its all about bringing back your personal power and helping people have their own aha moments of clarity which help them have a more balanced body, mind and life, they are one in the same and cannot be dissected. This is why I believe people are drawn to kinesiology because its all about inner change to create outer change. I respect all my clients that come to see me because they are taking ownership over how they feel and that is so amazing!
1. Your mind is on a default mode of unhappiness but you can change it! Change your mind, change your life, but how?
We are unhappy when we want things to be different to the way they are.
We are designed to want different, this default mode is reinforced everyday, we are constantly bombarded with opportunities to compare ourselves with others, we compare what we have to what another has, we compare every single aspect of ourselves and our lives from our shoes to our food choices. We are taught to constantly want more and believe that who we are and what we have is not enough, but what is enough? what is the limit? how to be good enough and have enough? who are we trying to be enough for? what the heck is going on? no wonder we have trouble making decisions, no wonder we experience FOMO, no wonder we have a deep belief of never feeling worthy or valuable. We are gifted with an extra challenge because this is the first time in the history of the world that brings the forum of social media and constant advertisements to super charge this comparison disease which gives us opportunities everyday to create more misery and validation of the belief that we are not good enough.

To be happy is to accept the moment exactly how it is
Happiness comes from acceptance and gratitude for how things are, how we are, what we have and want for ourselves. Please don't think that this means settling and being lazy without any drive to create your ideal life, it is actually the opposite. With this understanding we can create our lives from a genuine place that comes from peace of mind in this moment, knowing who we are and what we want regardless of others and what they want, the more we stay connected with ourselves and how we honestly feel and think, we can truly create a beautiful and unique experience without needing to measure up or meet someone else ideals and expectations. Doesn't that feel nice! Deep breath and relax! let your jaw loosen, your forehead unknot, your shoulder drop (yes we’re all a bit tense)
Your life is yours and you get to live it how you want to! Doing whats right for you has never felt so clear and liberating! FREEDOM!
How to change the default mode? it takes awareness, patience, and persistence. Changing a way of thinking requires challenging the thought pattern and re-directing to a new and upgraded one that supports you. The first step is to notice, be aware of how you feel in your body when your exposed to a situation that brings craving for something more, all you need to do is open Instagram or Facebook, take a look at all the beautiful things, the beautiful people that are presenting their ideal image to the world, check in with your body and notice how you feel, notice the sensations of craving or aversion, is this something I want for myself, if only I have that piece of jewellery, then I would be happy!
Notice if you have FOMO (fear of missing out) that my friend went to lunch with other friends without me and they look so happy! If only I had gone to lunch with them, then I would feel happy.
Break the cycle by acknowledging the body sensations and kindly and gently pause and prevent yourself from going into the thought process of ‘buying into’ the wanting for a different experience of life, see the images and words for what they are, snap shots in time that are someones experience, that is all.
2. You have an incredible gift, you are an incredible gift
Take a moment to realise how precious you are, how amazing it is that you are given life right here and now, you are breathing, you are awake and aware, it doesn't matter what kind of chair your sitting in, what type of computer or phone you are reading this on, what matters is that you take ownership of your precious life and consciously create your own happiness. I want you to be happy so badly, I have an intense sensation in my body writing this, my whole being wants your whole being to happy! this is why I do what I do.
I see the masterpiece of every person, I do what I do to help you see your own masterpiece. The secret is that you are an infinitely powerful being, you are valuable, you are worthy, you just may not be aware of that.
The secret to feeling like this is to take your power back. What do I mean by that? glad you asked… We give our power away everyday, in most moments, yes we are taught to do this by society and it comes in many forms.
We make other people, places, and situations the object of our discomfort.
Here it is, the big one! You are responsible for yourself, your life and how you feel, you cannot give this responsibility away without giving your power away.
Life happens and we make external events the reason why we feel the way we do. Example, you have an argument with your partner, they say something that you don’t like or agree with and you feel upset, you get this fresh source of validation to support this belief system that you're not enough, you immediately relate being upset with the words and actions of another, you become powerless over your emotions because the cause is external to you and until you resolve this and make this person change so you can be happy again. See how your power is completely gone?
The secret is to hold onto your power, knowing that you are responsible for your own feelings, no one can make you feel something, you can get triggered by external events but you don't need to let them run your life.
How to change this? Make the commitment to yourself to stay strong in your own power, knowing you are enough right now, whatever happens in your life is an experience, that is all, it doesn't need to an attack on your identity, something painful to be avoided at all costs, it doesn't need to be labelled, it is all experience and it is all an opportunity to learn and grow. If someone is behaving in a way that you don’t agree with, see that this person must be filled with difficult emotions to behave in such a way, everyone is behaving from the level of awareness that they're at, treat them the way you would like to be treated, with compassion and understanding of the truth.
Everyone is hurting in their own way, mostly people are unaware of why they do the things they do and don’t have the ability in that moment of pain to treat others with kindness and compassion, if they don’t treat themselves this way, how could they treat you this way?
People that treat themselves with kindness and compassion can automatically treat others in an equal way. This doesn't mean that you take peoples shit, you are much more effective in communicating your boundaries and how you want to be treated when you are in your own power and not from a place of hurt and mirroring the other persons pain with pain, the cycle gets broken when you have pain thrown at you and you respond with love. Don’t be hard on yourself, this takes time and practice to become the default setting, quite possibly a lifetime or multiple lifetimes! Just give it a go, your happiness depends on it.
Have you noticed that your internal world creates your external one?
A person with a happy mind, attitude and peaceful disposition will naturally experience these attributes in their external life, it is no coincidence, it is impossible to be clouded with the fog of misery when you are responsible for how you feel and treat all experience as just that, knowing that everything is constantly changing nothing is permanent, the only guarantee in life is that everything is changing and will change
With this realisation isn’t is much easier to be happy and enjoy life, we can’t control anything but our own way of thinking.

Its so simple but true, your external life is a reflection of your internal life. This is why kinesiology works so effectively, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change! our world is a manifestation of our perception.

Before I discovered kinesiology I spent my whole life being a frustrated explorer who was impatiently searching for the answer, some mysterious power that would make my life seem meaningful.
Growing up I always had a fascinating with mysteries, ancient artefacts, crystals, antiques, anything old! I was always curious and knew there was more to life, I was fascinated by the mysterious, the unexplainable and metaphysical. I never felt happy and I rarely felt like I fitted in until I discovered the mysterious power I was searching for... it was myself. I know that sounds corny but it's true!
I was constantly striving to acquire some perfect image of how I was meant to be, I was entirely focused on the external, I was looking for meaning in all the wrong places.
It was the first day of the intro to kinesiology & mind body medicine course, our teacher stood at the front of the class and asked, "who believes that your body is wise?" my answer wasn't an immediate yes, I seriously had to think about it! The penny dropped and I had my first AHA moment on the first day that would change my life forever. I knew I was in the right place!
Of course I am wise, I had never considered it before because my attention was always directed outwards.
I started having kinesiology sessions for myself and was immediately amazed at how different I felt. I believed my kinesiologist was super woman! every session felt like I was breaking through and stripping away the parts of me that were keeping me stuck in that same old place that felt yuck and shitty, I didn't want to stay in my cycles of self destructions anymore. From my first ever experience with kinesiology I knew immediately that I wanted to be a practitioner like her and five years later I feel that i'm on track to being as incredible as her and lucky enough to have this amazing woman as my mentor.
Kinesiology is the most empowering therapy I know of. I also know that it works best when you are ready for change and want to feel empowered and responsible for your own life and your own greatness.
Kinesiology opens the door to yourself like nothing else I have tried. Once the door is open there is no way of closing it and turning your back on yourself because the greatest suffering you can experience is being disconnected from your own wisdom, love and divinity.
What I know for sure; You are wise, you are good enough, you are divine, you are beauty, you are love, you are spirit embodied. Your challenge now is to eliminate all the blocks that are stopping you from believing this for yourself! Once you overcome your own mental limitations your life becomes incredibly meaningful and sacred.
The mysterious power you have been looking for is yourself.
I'm a dreamer, yep that's a name i've been called many times! I love that i'm a dreamer and I embrace it while I'm awake and asleep. I've always been curious about dream symbolism and why we dream, I've taken more notice recently and been excited about what I've discovered!
I feel that dreams are the way our soul speaks to us and provides messages that help us in daily life. I dream more when I have changes happening in my life & need to make decisions, times when higher wisdom has guidance for me that can only come through when my mind is resting. The more I disconnect my spiritual connection in waking life, the more I dream, the more messages need to come through!
Noticing your dream symbols can be valuable to bring to a kinesiology session as the information is your subconscious giving you messages that you may not understand and can be brought to the surface using muscle testing! I often test myself to get clarity on the meaning of my own dreams.
